How it works

During hyperbaric therapy, the animal breathes 100% oxygen at 2–3 times atmospheric pressure for approximately one hour. This increases oxygen delivery to body tissues — reducing swelling, stimulating healing, reducing inflammation and increasing the body's ability to deliver antibiotics to areas of relatively poor blood supply. Throughout treatment, the animal is monitored by trained staff via video monitoring and direct observation through acrylic portals.
